Meranti is the easiest hardwood to work with it is a durable and strong wood that is easy to cut and sand. Its colour varies, from pinkish shades through to dark reddish brown. The meranti PAR is machine-planed all round making for a smooth surface that is ready to work with right away. Meranti is a hardwood making it stronger than pine PAR and suitable for outside use. The maintenance of the meranti is minimal and it is recommended to treat with a wood sealant, varnish or primer.
